Highlight #2 Auntie Desiree, Zachary and Grams came to visit for a couple weeks in the summer.

Auntie Desiree and Zachary came from the east coast to stay with us for a couple of weeks. Grams was here for a month helping Julie before Carson was born. Grams came all the way from Kansas.

Highlight #7 Hawaii in February with Brendan, Kayla, Autumn and Alec

Our annual visit with the Minnesotan's, if we are lucky we sometimes squeeze twice in. As everyone knows that has kids, traveling as a couple is a little bit easier than with a tribe. We learned why people with young kids don't take 7 hour flights....as the kids crawled back and forth between us a thousand times.

Highlight #5 .. Child labor

Victoria and Madison like to "help" Julie whenever they can. I sure hope this lasts beyond Elementary School.

Highlight #4 Family time

There is never enough family time. I still can't figure out why I can't retire now and work later.

Highlight #3 Carson came kicking and screaming into the world.

Carson was born on September 15, 20 minutes after his due date at 1220 AM. Perfect timing to keep us up all night. Thankfully he has a good mom and started sleeping through the night fairly soon.
